Home Claim Amendment Deadline – 1/26/2023

On August 12^th, the Supreme Court of New Hampshire approved the liquidator’s request for a final claim amendment deadline. The deadline has been set for January 26, 2023.

The original proof of claim filing deadline was June 13, 2004. To date, Home has made interim distributions totaling 30% of agreed claims to Class II (policyholder) creditors. The purpose of the final claim amendment deadline is to facilitate the resolution of all open Class II claims in order to calculate and pay a final distribution. New proof of claim submissions must include information on why the late filing of such claims should be excused. For more information, please see the liquidation website.

Catalina Part VII Business Transfer Restructuring

Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited (formerly Hartford Financial Products Limited) has proposed to accept the transfer of all business from AGF Insurance Limited and Catalina London Limited. All the companies are subsidiaries of Catalina Holdings UK Limited and each is in run-off. The main purpose of the transfers is to consolidate Catalina’s run-off businesses.

The court hearing to consider the transfer will be on November 18, 2022, and the transfer (if approved) is expected to occur on November 30, 2022. More information, including the independent expert’s report and notices can be found at the transfer’s website.
